Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 340,710 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Kentucky and they represented 7.80% of the total population of Kentucky in 2011. Jefferson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (155,483), followed by Fayette County (43,574), and Christian County (15,244). On the other hand, Robertson County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (2), followed by Wolfe County (12), and Jackson County (16).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Fulton County had the highest percentage (23.77%), followed by Jefferson County (20.83%), and Christian County (20.74%).
