Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2013, there were 349,042 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Kentucky and they represented 7.92% of the total population of Kentucky in 2013. Jefferson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (159,759), followed by Fayette County (45,164), and Christian County (15,340). On the other hand, Robertson County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (4), followed by Wolfe County (15), and Owsley County (22).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Fulton County had the highest percentage (23.93%), followed by Jefferson County (21.04%), and Christian County (20.81%).
