Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, there were 354,114 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Kentucky and they represented 8.00% of the total population of Kentucky in 2015. Jefferson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (162,756), followed by Fayette County (46,192), and Christian County (15,254). On the other hand, Robertson County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (7), followed by Wolfe County (20), and Owsley County (23).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Fulton County had the highest percentage (23.45%), followed by Jefferson County (21.27%), and Christian County (20.83%).
