Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2020, there were 371,958 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Kentucky and they represented 8.25% of the total population of Kentucky in 2020. Jefferson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (172,120), followed by Fayette County (48,865), and Christian County (15,645). On the other hand, Robertson County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (12), followed by Wolfe County (26), and Owsley County (30).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Fulton County had the highest percentage (24.36%), followed by Jefferson County (21.99%), and Christian County (21.5%).
