Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2010, there were 690,360 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Missouri and they represented 11.51% of the total population of Missouri in 2010. St. Louis County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (232,885), followed by Jackson County (160,037), and St. Louis city (156,540). On the other hand, Schuyler County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (1), followed by Scotland County (3), and Carter County (5).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, St. Louis city had the highest percentage (49.02%), followed by Pemiscot County (26.67%), and Jackson County (23.71%).
