Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 14,670,939 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in California and they represented 37.30% of the total population of California in 2017. Los Angeles County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (2,663,868), followed by San Diego County (1,513,637), and Orange County (1,290,922). On the other hand, Alpine County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (729), followed by Sierra County (2,534), and Modoc County (6,893).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Nevada County had the highest percentage (85.38%), followed by Sierra County (84.24%), and Plumas County (83.7%).
