Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 6,286,020 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 65.08% of the total population of North Carolina in 2011. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (576,229), followed by Mecklenburg County (474,114), and Guilford County (266,796). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (2,310), followed by Hyde County (3,444), and Washington County (5,830).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (94.87%), followed by Clay County (94.86%), and Mitchell County (93.87%).
