Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, there were 6,378,226 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 64.19% of the total population of North Carolina in 2014. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (611,318), followed by Mecklenburg County (491,342), and Guilford County (268,118). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (2,183), followed by Hyde County (3,437), and Washington County (5,637).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (94.27%), followed by Clay County (94.21%), and Haywood County (93.44%).
