Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, there were 6,412,462 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 63.89% of the total population of North Carolina in 2015. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (623,288), followed by Mecklenburg County (497,210), and Guilford County (267,659). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (2,153), followed by Hyde County (3,315), and Washington County (5,498).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Clay County had the highest percentage (94.28%), followed by Madison County (94.23%), and Haywood County (93.1%).
