Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2019, there were 721,513 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in South Dakota and they represented 81.33% of the total population of South Dakota in 2019. Minnehaha County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (158,270), followed by Pennington County (91,143), and Lincoln County (56,426). On the other hand, Buffalo County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (293), followed by Oglala Lakota County (649), and Ziebach County (671).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Faulk County had the highest percentage (97.27%), followed by Hand County (96.59%), and McPherson County (95.65%).
