Illinois Hispanic or Latino Population By County in 2019

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2019, there were 2,206,243 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Illinois and they represented 17.42% of the total population of Illinois in 2019.

Cook County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (1,309,275), followed by Kane County (171,276), and Lake County (155,454). On the other hand, Scott County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (62), followed by Calhoun County (66), and Pope County (72).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Kane County had the highest percentage (32.18%), followed by Cook County (25.45%), and Boone County (22.67%).
