Indiana Net Domestic Migration By County in 2016

According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2016, the net domestic migration for Indiana was -8,704. Hamilton County had the highest net domestic migration (4,376) followed by Johnson County (1,726), and Hendricks County (1,698). On the other hand, Marion County had the lowest net domestic migration (-4,742), followed by Lake County (-3,033), and Elkhart County (-999).

Net Domestic Migration for a given county refers to the the difference between number of people moving to the county from other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and number of people moving out of the county to other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
