According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the net domestic migration for North Dakota was 6,333. Williams County had the highest net domestic migration (1,695) followed by Ward County (1,615), and Burleigh County (1,126). On the other hand, Grand Forks County had the lowest net domestic migration (-1,036), followed by Stutsman County (-87), and Walsh County (-85).
