According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the net domestic migration for North Dakota was -4,008. Cass County had the highest net domestic migration (3,281) followed by Morton County (191), and Nelson County (85). On the other hand, Williams County had the lowest net domestic migration (-2,988), followed by McKenzie County (-1,007), and Stark County (-978).
