According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2022, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for South Carolina was 17.92. Horry County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (48.12), followed by Jasper County (46.37), and Lancaster County (39.2). On the other hand, Allendale County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-29.47), followed by Sumter County (-6.53), and Marion County (-6.07).
