Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, among all US states and DC, California had the highest number of people who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (653.78K), followed by Arizona (375.49K), and Oklahoma (374.12K).

On the other hand, Vermont had the lowest number of people that identified as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (2.41K), followed by New Hampshire (3.98K), and District of Columbia (4.25K).
