Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, among all US states and DC, Texas had the highest number of people who identified their race as Black or African American Alone (4.16M), followed by Florida (3.83M), and Georgia (3.66M).

On the other hand, Wyoming had the lowest number of people that identified as Black or African American Alone (7.05K), followed by Montana (7.27K), and Vermont (10.45K).
