Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, among all US states and DC, Texas had the highest number of people who identified their race as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (3.32M), followed by Florida (3.21M), and Georgia (3.21M).

On the other hand, Montana had the lowest number of people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (5.29K), followed by Wyoming (6.29K), and Vermont (7.39K).
