According to the CDC data, in 2022, there were 3,289,569 recorded deaths in the US. The leading cause of deaths was Heart Diseases, with a count of 938,886 deaths (28.54% of total). The second leading cause was Cancer, with a count of 598,435 deaths (18.19% of total). And, the third leading cause was Accidents, with a count of 233,654 deaths (7.10% of total).
