According to data from the US Census Bureau, in 2024, the US first generation (foreign-born) Black or African American Alone population was 6,093,000 (13.5% of US Black or African American Alone population). The second generation Black or African American Alone population was 4,302,000 (9.6% of US Black or African American Alone population). And, the third-and-higher generation Black or African American Alone population was 34,580,000 (76.9% of US Black or African American Alone population).
