Recall Description:

WASHINGTON, DC - Playskool Baby, Inc., a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc., is voluntarily recalling its Baby Guards Disney Hand Holder No.9560 and its Baby Guards Sesame Street Hand Holder No. 9562. Some of the painted Mickey Mouse and Big Bird characters on the wristbands may contain excess levels of lead and, if ingested, may present a potential lead poisoning hazard. The hand holders have two wristbands, one for the child and one for an adult, which fasten with velcro. Approximately 20,000 were shipped from June 1987 through November 1987. The hand holders sold for around $8.95 each. Neither Hasbro, Inc. nor CPSC is aware of any injuries or deaths associated with these products. Consumers should discontinue use of the products and return them to the retail store where purchased for a full refund of the purchase price. Consumers may also return the products to Playskool Baby, Inc., PO Box 200, Pawtucket, RI 02862-0200 for a full refund. Consumers can also call Playskool at (800) 752-9755.
