Recall Description:

STIHL Inc., of Virginia Beach, Va., is voluntarily recalling about 890 backpack blowers.The recalled blowers have a model number of BR 420C and a serial number in the following ranges: 47988257 through 47989256 and 49014561 through 49015560. The name, "STIHL," and the model number, BR 420C, appear on the starter. The serial number is printed right above the starter. 

Hazard Description:

The fuel hose on the carburetor can be dislodged, and leak fuel, presenting fire and burn hazards.

STIHL has received four reports of fuel hoses dislodging. No injuries have been reported.

Sold At:

The backpack blowers were sold through STIHL dealers in California between November 2000 and January 2001.
