Recall Description:

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Pier 1 Imports, of Fort Worth, Texas, is voluntarily recalling about 9,200 candleholders. The Giant Champagne Glass-Shaped Floating Candleholder is made of mouth-blown recycled glass and is intended for use with floating candles. The candleholder can unexpectedly shatter and cause cuts to consumers.The recalled Giant Champagne Glass-Shaped Floating Candleholder is about 17 1/4-inches high by 13-inches in diameter. The green candleholders were made in Spain. The price sticker on the bottom of the candleholder reads "SKU#1884160."

The candleholder can unexpectedly shatter and cause cuts to consumers.

Pier 1 has received two reports of the glass candleholder shattering. No injuries have been reported.

Sold At:

Pier 1 Imports sold the candleholders through their retail stores and on-line nationwide from January 2002 through May 2002 for about $25.
