In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Hill-Rom, a Hillenbrand Industry, of Batesville, Ind., is voluntarily recalling 2,900 rocking chairs. The chairs' support assembly can fail and cause the rocking chair to collapse, posing the risk of injury to the user. Name of Product: Rocking ChairsUnits: 2,900Distributor: Hill-Rom, a Hillenbrand Industry, of Batesville, Ind.Hazard: The chairs' support assembly can fail and cause the rocking chair to collapse, posing the risk of injury to the user.Incidents/Injuries: Hill-Rom has received 40 reports of rocking chairs collapsing, including two reports of consumers receiving bumps and bruises to the head and shoulders.Description: The wooden rocking chairs were sold in two styles, a contemporary model (PI155131) and a more traditional model (P155132). Both style rocking chairs have a clear varnish finish.
