WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Oki Data Americas Inc., of Mt. Laurel, N.J., is voluntarily recalling 1,000 OKIFAX 5780, 5980, 5980DL and Konica 9880 Facsimile machines. The fax machines may incur a mechanical malfunction, posing a shock hazard to users.Name of product: OKIFAX® 5780, 5980, 5980DL and Konica 9880 Facsimile machines (Fax machines)Units: 1,000Manufacturer: Oki Data Americas Inc., of Mt. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injuries.Description: The recalled fax machines include the OKIFAX® 5780, 5980, 5980DL models, and Konica 9880 model (manufactured by Oki Data Americas Inc.), with serial numbers beginning with 3110A, 311A, 312A, 401A and 402A. The model number is found on the top right hand side on the front of the unit and the serial numbers can be found on the back of the unit, bottom of case, centered, on the black and white bar code label.Sold by: Oki Data independent dealers and Konica Business Technologies U.S.A.
