In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Target Corporation, of Minneapolis, Minn. is voluntarily recalling about 430 Sean Conway Fire Pit Spark Screens. The fire pit spark screen can catch fire when it comes into direct contact with a flame, posing a burn and fire hazard to consumers.Name of Product: Sean Conway Fire Pit Spark ScreenUnits: About 430Importer/Distributors: Target Corporation, of Minneapolis, Minn. (Marshall Field's is a division of Target Corporation)Hazard: The fire pit spark screen can catch fire when it comes into direct contact with a flame, posing a burn and fire hazard to consumers.Incidents/Injuries: Marshall Field's has received three reports of the spark screen catching fire. No injuries or property damage have been reported.Description: The recalled Sean Conway spark screens act as a cover over the top of a copper fire pit that sits in a black, three-legged stand. The spark screens have an item number of 525-90-0800 and a UPC number of 97169934567. The Sean Conway Fire Pit is not included in this recall.Sold at: Marshall Field's stores in Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan and one store in Wisconsin, and on the company's website from January 2004 through May 2004 for about $50.Manufactured In: TurkeyRemedy: Consumers should stop using the spark screens immediately and return them to any Marshall Field's store for a full refund.Consumer Contact: Call Marshall Field's collect at (612) 375-3382 between 9 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CT Monday through Friday.
