In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Belkin Corp., of Compton, Calif. is voluntarily recalling about 1,200 Rackmount uninterruptible power supplies. The UPS outputs were wired incorrectly creating a reverse polarity configuration and a potential electrical shock hazard to consumers.Name of product: Rackmount Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)Units: About 1,200 unitsManufacturer/Importer: Belkin Corp., of Compton, Calif.Hazard: The UPS outputs were wired incorrectly, creating a reverse polarity configuration and a potential electrical shock hazard to consumers.INCIDENTS/INJURIES: None reported.Description: The recalled Belkin OmniGuard Rackmount UPS units are used to provide voltage regulation, surge suppression, and back-up power for electronic equipment. The Belkin OmniGuard Rackmount UPS units are black with a silver/grey panel on the front. Recalled units are the OmniGuard 1100 (Model no. F6C110-RKM-2U), OmniGuard 1500 (Model no. F6C150- RKM-2U), OmniGuard 2300 (Model no. F6C230-RKM-2U), and OmniGuard 3200 (Model no. F6C320-RKM-3U).
