WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), New York Zion Trading Corp., of Flushing, New York. is voluntarily recalling about 2,500 Portable oscillating electric fans. The wiring is undersized and the power plug is not polarized, creating fire and shock hazards.Name of product: Portable oscillating electric fansUnits: About 2,500Importer/Distributor: New York Zion Trading Corp., of Flushing, New YorkHazard: The wiring is undersized and the power plug is not polarized, creating fire and shock hazards.Incidents/Injuries: No reports of incidents. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injuries.Description: The recall involves 16-inch diameter 3-speed oscillating fans which mount on adjustable stands. "NYZT" appears in the center of the front fan guard. The model numbers, FS-1601A and FS-1607C, are found on a silver label on the back of the controls.
