In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Stack-On Products Company, Wauconda, IL. is voluntarily recalling 1,320 Stack-On Strong Box Safes. These safes can be opened without the use of a combination by jiggling with the doorknob. This could allow unauthorized access to a handgun and the potential for serious injury.Name of Product: Stack-On Strong Box SafeUnits: 1,320Importer: Stack-On Products Company, Wauconda, ILHazard: These safes can be opened without the use of a combination by jiggling with the doorknob. This could allow unauthorized access to a handgun and the potential for serious injury.Incidents/Injuries: No injuries have been reported.Description: The recalled safes weigh about 14 pounds and contain an electronic keypad lock and are gray in color. They were sold with four AA batteries.Sold at: The safes were sold nationwide through gun supply stores, sporting good stores, and safe retail stores for about $40.Manufactured in: ChinaRemedy: Consumers can return their drawer safe to the place of purchase for a refund or contact Stack-On Products Customer Service at 800-323-9601 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
