WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Dollar Tree Stores Inc., is voluntarily recalling about 600,000 Power Xtensions. The counterfeit extension cords could have undersized wire and substandard insulation, which can cause overheating, resulting in a possible shock hazard.Name of Product: 6-foot Power XtensionUnits: About 600,000Importer: Greenbrier International Inc., of Chesapeake, Va.Hazard: The counterfeit extension cords could have undersized wire and substandard insulation, which can cause overheating, resulting in a possible shock hazard.Incidents/Injuries: None reported.Description: The recalled cords are green, measure 6 feet long, are intended for indoors and have a three-outlet extension.
