WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Lasko Products Inc., of West Chester, Pa., is voluntarily recalling about 1.2 million Lasko Ceramic Heaters. The heater's cord can overheat where it enters the base of the unit, which could pose a fire hazard to consumers.Name of Product: Lasko Ceramic HeatersUnits: About 1.2 millionManufacturer: Lasko Products Inc., of West Chester, Pa.Hazard: The heater's cord can overheat where it enters the base of the unit, which could pose a fire hazard to consumers.Incidents/Injuries: Lasko has received 28 reports of failed power cords, including six reports of minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.Description: This recall involves Lasko ceramic heaters manufactured in 2005. Model numbers included in the recall are: 5132, 5345, 5362, 5364, 5420, 5532, 5534 and 5566.
