CPSC Recall in 2007: Calligaris USA Recalls Bar Stools Due to Fall Hazard

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Calligaris USA Inc., of High Point, N.C., is voluntarily recalling about 400 ICE Bar Stools. The seat on the bar stools can detach, causing the consumer to fall and suffer injuries.Name of Product: ICE Bar StoolsUnits: About 400Importer: Calligaris USA Inc., of High Point, N.C.Hazard: The seat on the bar stools can detach, causing the consumer to fall and suffer injuries.Incidents/Injuries: Calligaris has received five reports of the seats detaching. No injuries have been reported.Description: This recall involves Calligaris bar stools with a contemporary design. The stools have a black or chrome metal base, a low-back, and plastic seats that come in orange, black, white, green, or clear.
