WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Hooker Furniture Corporation, of Martinsville, Va., is voluntarily recalling about 1,300 Bunk Beds. The bunk beds have gaps between parts of the upper bunk that could allow a child's body to pass through but not a child's head. This poses an entrapment or strangulation hazard to children and exceeds the space allowed by the federal bunk bed safety standard. Name of Product: Bunk BedsUnits: About 1,300Importer: Hooker Furniture Corporation, of Martinsville, Va.Hazard: The bunk beds have gaps between parts of the upper bunk that could allow a child's body to pass through but not a child's head. The bunk beds come in cherry, white, and black finishes.
