Recall Description:

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Hazard Description:

The unit can overheat or catch fire, emitting excessive heat, sparks, smoke or flames.

Units: About 9,500 in the United States and 1,500 in Canada
Incidents:

Cloud Engines has received three reports of the units overheating. One device caught fire, one device emitted smoke, and one device melted, damaging the desk it was on.

Sold At:

Adorama, B&H, Best Buy, Buy.com, J&R, Pogoplug.com, New Egg, and Sony Style from March 2011 through June 2011 for about $200.
