CPSC Recall in 2011: Build-A-Bear Workshop Recalls Lapel Pins Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
Surface paints on the lapel pin contain excessive levels of lead which is prohibited under federal law.

No injuries have been reported.
Build-A-Bear Workshop stores nationwide and online at www.buildabear.com from July 2009 through October 2010 for $3.50 in the US and $4 (CDN) in Canada.
