Recall Description:

The straps on men-, women- and youth-sized snowboard bindings can break.

Hazard Description:

The ankle straps can break posing a fall hazard.

Units: About 6,800 pairs in the U.S. and 1,200 in Canada

Incidents:

The firm has received 30 reports of the binding straps breaking. No injuries were reported.

Sold At:

Specialty Sports Inc., REI and other national, small chain and independent sporting goods stores, and online at www.backcountry.com and www.mervin.com from August 2012 to March 2013 for between $125 and $310.
