Recall Description:

The weld between the mounting plate and mounting ring on recalled Ergotron adjustable wall mounts can fail. If this happens, the wall-mounted TV or monitor can fall.

Hazard Description:

The weld between the "VESA" style mounting plate and the mounting ring can fail, allowing the monitor or TV to fall. This poses a risk of injury to bystanders.

Units: About 196,200 in the United States, 60 in Canada and 21,000 in Mexico
Incidents:

Ergotron has received three reports of the monitor plate separating from the wall mount system. Consumers reported property damage to components of the wall mount unit. No injuries have been reported.

Sold At:

AAFES, h.h.Gregg, Sam's Club, Walmart and independent retailers nationwide specializing in electronic supplies and online at Amazon.com from February 2012 to January 2013 for between $50 and $400.
