Recall Description:

The aluminum wand used with Shark brand Rotator Powered Lift-Away series upright vacuums can disconnect from the vacuum cleaner's handle and remain energized.

Hazard Description:

The aluminum wand can disconnect from the vacuum cleaner's handle and remain energized with electricity, posing a risk of electric shock.

Incidents:

The firm has received 62 reports of incidents in which the aluminum wand disconnected from the vacuum cleaner's handle.  No injuries have been reported.

Sold At:

Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Kohl's, Lowes, Target and other stores nationwide, online at www.sharkclean.com and through television infomercials from August 2014 through March 2015 for between $250 and $350.
