As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

The retention pin securing the passenger seat recline mechanism could fail, causing the mechanism to collapse, and result in a loose backrest. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
