Donald J. Trump (Republican) won the 2016 United States presidential elections held on November 8, 2016 beating Hillary Clinton (Democrat) to become the 45th US president. He was largely underestimated to win by many national pre-election polls, making his win one of the shocking wins in the history of US elections.

Whatever the reason may be, it is undeniable that Trump had a smart political strategy from the beginning, given that he easily bulldozed his way through the Republican primary candidates, stopping for nothing and taking no prisioners.
