The US Census Bureau estimated that there were 326,838,199 people living in the United States in 2018. The chart below shows each state's percentage share of the US population. California had the highest percentage of the US population (12.07%), followed by Texas (8.76%), and then Florida (6.50%). Wyoming was the least populated state with a population of 579,054 (0.18% of the US population).
