Crimes committed by prisoners held in US Federal Prisons in 2016

In 2016, there were 172,554 prisoners held in US Federal prisons. An estimated 48% of these prisoners were incarcerated on Drug related crimes, 38% on Public Order crimes (such as immigration and weapons), 8% on Violent Crimes (such as homicide, and robbery), and 6% were incarcerated on Property related crimes (such as burglary, and fraud).
