US Mathematics Proficiency for Grade 3 Students By State for the 2021-2022 School Year

Based on data from the US Department of Education, for the 2021-2022 school year, the following US states were among the top 5 who had the highest percentage of their Grade 3 students being proficient in Mathematics, based on state-wide assessment: Maine (81.6%), Iowa (71%), Minnesota (59%), Puerto Rico (58.9%), and Ohio (58.7%).

It was 27.5% for District of Columbia, and 9% for the Bureau of Indian Education.
