US Mathematics Proficiency for Grade 4 Students By State for the 2021-2022 School Year

Based on data from the US Department of Education, for the 2021-2022 school year, the following US states were among the top 5 who had the highest percentage of their Grade 4 students being proficient in Mathematics, based on state-wide assessment: Maine (81.2%), Iowa (68.4%), Ohio (63.6%), Florida (61.4%), and Minnesota (56.4%).

It was 22.7% for District of Columbia, and 6% for the Bureau of Indian Education.
