US Mathematics Proficiency for Grade 5 Students By State for the 2021-2022 School Year

Based on data from the US Department of Education, for the 2021-2022 school year, the following US states were among the top 5 who had the highest percentage of their Grade 5 students being proficient in Mathematics, based on state-wide assessment: Maine (76.3%), Iowa (63.5%), Ohio (53.5%), Wyoming (52.5%), and Florida (52.3%).

It was 22.1% for District of Columbia, and 4% for the Bureau of Indian Education.
