US Mathematics Proficiency for Grade 6 Students By State for the 2021-2022 School Year

Based on data from the US Department of Education, for the 2021-2022 school year, the following US states were among the top 5 who had the highest percentage of their Grade 6 students being proficient in Mathematics, based on state-wide assessment: Maine (79.7%), Iowa (65.9%), Wyoming (51.5%), North Carolina (50.3%), and Ohio (49.6%).

It was 16.6% for District of Columbia, and 5% for the Bureau of Indian Education.
