US Mathematics Proficiency for High School Students By State for the 2021-2022 School Year

Based on data from the US Department of Education, for the 2021-2022 school year, the following US states were among the top 5 who had the highest percentage of their High School students being proficient in Mathematics, based on state-wide assessment: Maine (86.6%), New York (85.2%), North Carolina (64.3%), Mississippi (63.1%), and Pennsylvania (62.3%).

It was 10.5% for District of Columbia, and 4% for the Bureau of Indian Education.
