Based on data from the US Department of Education, for the 2021-2022 school year, the following US states were among the top 5 who had the highest percentage of their students of All Grades being proficient in Science, based on state-wide assessment: New York (77.7%), Ohio (63.2%), North Carolina (62.8%), Iowa (62.6%), and Nebraska (61.5%).
