Based on data from the US Department of Education, for the 2021-2022 school year, the following US states were among the top 5 who had the highest percentage of their High School students being proficient in Science, based on state-wide assessment: New York (90.6%), Ohio (63.7%), Iowa (63%), Florida (61.4%), and Mississippi (58.5%).
