US Alcohol Impaired Driving Fatalities (2008 - 2017)

A driver is considered to be alcohol impaired when his blood alcohol concentrations (BACs) is .08 grams per deciliter (g/dL) or higher.

Between 2008 and 2011, the number of alcohol impaired fatalities in the United States fell from 11,711 to 9,865. The number began increasing again from 2012, and in 2017, there were 10,874 fatalities.
